So here it is, My happy belated cards. Today is my aunt birthday and yes..... I forgot to call her and it's a little too late to call so now I have to call like a luzr a day late. (it's bad enough that I have to send her bday card late and now I have to call her late too). Sorry Auntie Sharon. Happy Birthday.
I tried to do a monochromatic theme with the two cards but I love temping turquoise with chocolate chip. I love the crisp white too.

I tried to do the monochromatic theme here too. I wanted the coffee cups to pop off the white and brown. They didn't pop like I wanted but I still got the same effect. It's the first time I have actually used this set and I wasn't sure if it would be versatile, to my surprise I think that it is more then I expected. This card is for another friends birthday which was last week and yes I did miss her birthday too.
I just have no idea why I keep missing them. One of the reasons why I started to make my own cards so that I wouldn't miss people's birthday. Somethings never change I guess.

I made this card for my son's first birthday that is coming up soon. I wanted to have a cookie monster idea , but Cookie Monster did make it onto the card. I liked it clean and simple as they would say. I used chocolate chip, summer sun and very vanilla card stock. I punched the letter C with a 2"punch and then used a 1 3/8" punch as the inside circle. I used the Itty bitty background for the chocolate chips on the cookies. You can't see by the picture but I he embossed the words is for cookie in black to give it a little more texture. Not as little boyish as I wanted but I still really like how this came out.
I hope that I will be able to do a couple cards this weekend for a couple of Birthday's I missed this week. A friend of the family and also my Aunt I am soo sorry but I was thinking of you. Love ya if your watching.
See you next time.
Lisa

Hi I had another post for this card, but but realized that I had left a spelling mistake. I tried to correct it when I did my very first blog disappeared, so I guess this is my new first blog because somewhere is computer land I have my old one floating around. I know I will find it someday. LOL. I guess I will just have to be a little better with my spelling.
Here is a thank you card I made for my friends wedding. We made her wedding invites and they co-ordinate. I love this set from Stamping up. (Delight in life) I tend to use it a fair amount. I not sure if you can see by the picture but it is a double pocket card the back has a speech thanking everyone and the front pocket has the traditional picture from the wedding were she can write the personal thank you for all the gift and help she received. I used vellum to soften the look and th first pocket has the flower stamped across it so that it pops out ove the white the one the top pocket I heat embossed the word thank you (from stamping up wonderful words set). I stamped another flower on picture card so that it could be a focus point when everything is stacked together. I am really happy with this card. It looks so much better in person if I do say so myself
Thanks for looking
